Yarnz ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Yarnz mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our Service.

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address, username, and profile picture. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive basic profile information from those services (name, email, and profile photo where available).

User Content: We collect the stories, story contributions (turns), chat messages, and other content you create and share through the Service.

Usage Data: We collect information about how you interact with the Service, including stories you view, vote on, or bookmark.

Device Information: If you enable push notifications, we collect your device's push notification token to send you notifications.

Enable collaborative storytelling features
Send push notifications about story activity, friend requests, and your turn to write
Display leaderboards, competitions, and author ratings

Service Providers: We use third-party services including Clerk (authentication), Expo (push notifications), and hosting providers to operate the Service.

Your data is stored on secure servers. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and secure authentication through Clerk. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

Update your profile information, including your username and profile picture, at any time
Delete stories you have created (before they are locked/started)
Disable push notifications through your device settings
Request deletion of your account by contacting us

6. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information.
